ACW was founded by women helping other women with their insight, courage, resourcefulness and focused intent. Is this still needed today? I personally think it will be needed as long as there are women still engaged in living a contemplative lifestyle; women seeking the truth of the world and their (our) place in it; women embracing their own struggles and recognizing themselves in the struggles of others. The structures may change, but the spirit will live on. We can look back with loving gratitude at those who came before us, and hope that somehow, we are contributing something to those who will come after.
Jo Balsamo July 2018 Newsletter
Newsletter
ACW publishes a quarterly 8 to 10 page Newsletter that is emailed or surface mailed to every member. We share information from our Leadership Team, reports from Clusters, poems, pictures, stories, book reviews, reflections, and news about our Assemblies. It is a work of love by the editors and a way of keeping in touch that is precious to each of us.
ACW Connections
ACW Connections is an easy, quick way for members to send by email information, notifications or prayer requests to other members. Prayer requests are particularly important. We want to know how one another is doing and offer our prayers. One member edits and facilitates ACW Connections.
ACW Facebook Page
Facebook is an online social network that allows members to interact, connect with each other, and share photos, articles of interest, book recommendations and more. The ‘comment’ function which appears on every post to the page allows for contact and discussion among members. The page address is www.facebook.com/AssociationofContemplativeWomen
ACW Website
Our ACW website provides an introduction and invitation to new members and includes Resources to inspire, encourage and support women on the contemplative path. The Members Section of the site offers the membership access to a wide variety of material that explains how ACW is governed, offers remembrances of past General Assemblies, newsletters, rituals, and many other resources lending support to the contemplative way.
